Unsteady Pump Analysis

High-Energy Pump Performance

CRUNCH CFD® was used to perform an unsteady analysis of a a high-energy, two-stage 19 MW seawater injection pump. Both single and multi-phase flow simulations were performed. The objective of this analysis was to corroborate and understand the source of an experimentally observed tonal noise. Acoustic analysis was conducted using the CRUNCH far-field noise propagation solver module.
